Pre-wedding photo shoot day

This day has finally arrived! I was anticipating this day for long as I am curious how would I look like with heavier make up on and different hair styles. This is a picture of us before proceeding out for our photo shoot.

Pardon the no camera allowed sign. Haha!

We chose this 3 locations to do our shoot.
1) Botanical garden (Reason being: We like one of the shot that our bridal shop has taken. It's like a cave with waterfall on the outside)

2) Victoria theatre (Reason being: Love the interior of the place)

3) Marina bay sands (Reason being: I like the lightings of the office towers)

Did my bridal nails at princess cottage.
Took the bridal package which cost me $188 nett however I top up $5 as i chose a new gelish color which doesn't make sense to me.  I had to top up $8 as well if I like to add on a top coat that will ensure my gelish colour to shine and not fade off.

In my opinion, it's not worth to have your nails done up for photo shoot because after all your nails is secondary. The bride and the groom are the primary focus.
Even if the photographer is able to take a nice shot of your nails with the wedding bands, it's not worth to select that particular as one of the chosen shot for the wedding album.

We set of at around 1.20 PM to botanical garden and we ending our shoot at around 8 PM.
It was quite a enjoyable process.
The only con is my make up artist left after my third hair do. (I wasn't aware initially)
Took a glance at our contract and realised that in the contract they did stated the make up artist will leave after the third hairdo. Lesson learnt THEREFORE, please read all fine prints carefully!!!
It would be better if the make up artist could stay till the end of the photo shoot as the back button of my evening gown came off halfway through the photo shoot. My fiancĂ© had to button it up for me and the funniest thing is once he is done one button another button came off.
I believed guys are never good at such things.

Another point to take note is , if you have all your request to be included into the contract so that at least you have something to fall back on.
We signed our MDW package last December and now we could barely remember what is included in the package and what is not.
Ampoule was not included for my case likewise trial make up as well.
The make up that they did for me was passable. Not to heavy for me.
Hairdo wise, I like the first hairdo. Second hairdo was passable too.
Third hairdo was not to my liking :(
The picture my mua showed me looks nice on the pictures but the end product that she did for me was a little tad different.
It was definitely a wrong move not to research on hairstyling way beforehand.
Read MDW reviews and thought I could trust them entirely.
Brides to be please do research and not follow my foot steps.

22nd February 2016 - Our gown fitting day

A selfie of us before we proceed to try our gowns/suits respectively.

(Thinking in progress)

Yes.. we are really having quite a headache choosing which gowns/suits to choose.
Tips: Please get some small bites in case you gets hungry throughout the process.
For my case, I was real thirsty instead of hungry.

Overall it was a pretty nice experience but it can be real tiring.
We were there at about 12.30pm and we left the bridal shop at about 4plus 5 in the afternoon.
I was entitled to 3 gowns for pre wedding photo-shoot.
In the end I chose 2 long gowns and 1 short dress and 2 suits for my hubby to be.

My girlfriend took this candid shot for me.. (secretly)
I looked like some lost bride to be finding her way. Hahaha!

Love the back design but not the front design.

Yes.. we are not allowed to take snapshots. The consultant will helped to take pictures for us though
and then they will upload to the computer for us to view.

Overall experience: Please do not hesitate to try all types of gowns. Some gowns might look nice in the pictures but it might not look good on you so the best is to try all kinds of designs.
I was quite hesitant to try certain designs and colours.
I always like to go for light colours or pastel colours.

Till then :)

In 8 months 2 weeks 5 days time I will be getting married.
Decided to start blogging again for memories keepsake.
Therefore, I am going to use this blog to share my experiences.

First of all, let me start of with my bridal shop. After heading down to several bridal shops we decided to use My Dream Wedding.

Initially,  La belle couture was one of our top choices however the consultant doesn't seems to be very keen to do our business thus in the end we dropped them out of the list.
The reason we chose My Dream Wedding is because their consultants are very friendly and most importantly their photography skills were one of the most outstanding ones among the rest.

In case, some of you girls wonder which other bridal shops did I went to.
Here are the following bridal shops : Digio bridal , Cang Ai wedding, The Louvre Bridal, The Gown Warehouse, White link. One thing, I must highlight, I really love one of the wedding gowns at TGW but unfortunately they do not offer wedding packages like pre wedding photography etc.
The changing room in TGW is really huge and there was a princess feel sofa just outside the changing room. I felt like a princess when I was there as there will be someone to help me to put on the gowns.
The service was great too. The consultant that served me really know what I would like judging from the questionnaire she asked me to fill prior to the selection of the gowns.
I tried 6 gowns in total. It's a pity that I am not able to take any pictures because photography are not allowed in their premises which I do understand somehow.

Coming up, I will be sharing my gown fitting experience coming next week with My Dream Wedding.

Stay tune :)
